ACTIVATED SLUDGE TREATMENT
Conventional Activated Sludge treatment plants
Colloide provide a number of effluent treatment technologies using activated sludge. Conventional Activated Sludge (CAS) treatment is the name given to the standard and oldest form of treatment. This configuration consists, as a minimum, of an aeration stage followed by a final settlement stage with a sludge recycle from the settlement tanks to the aeration tanks.
This process is well proven and there are many variations to the process which we can add including; de-ntirification stage; P removal by chemical precipitation; tertiary treatment; etc. The engineering of the process is project specific with careful selection required on the aeration system, tank sizing, instrumentation, pumps and controls.
Colloide provide both new treatment plants and upgrades to existing plants.
