Project outline:
Colloide were employed by Simon Carves Ltd to design and build a treatment plant for river water which would be used for cooling towers of the Sabic polyethelene plant.
Project description:
The maximum flowrate to be treated was 240m3/hr. The river water was to be filtered to a precise level and the wastewater had also to be treated.

Colloide offered and built the following plant;

5no. continuous backwashing sand filters

1no. clarifier to deal with the wastewater

Access platforms and stairs

1no. recycled water system with duty/standby recycle pumps and buffer tank

1no. sludge wastage pump

1no. sludge storage tank

Central control panel

Colloide designed and built the mechanical and electrical works and the civil works were built by the main contractor to Colloide’s design.
