Demonstration day for Severn Trent Standard Product by Colloide Engineering

In January Severn Trent Water were invited to attend a demonstration day at Colloide’s headquarters to view the first Phosphorous removal chemical dosing rig to be produced under their recent framework agreement. Having developed the designs for the standard product in the months preceding the visit Colloide were keen to receive feedback from both Severn Trent Water and the Tier 1 Contractors responsible for delivering the water authorities non-infrastructure projects for the AMP.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

While the first rig was to be delivered to CiM6, a joint venture between Costain and MWH, the remaining two Tier 1 Contractors – Mott MacDonald Bentley and NMCNomenca were also invited to attend. In a newsletter circulated by CiM6 following the visit the project team were clearly impressed with the finished product, stating:

“Colloide, though not new to the water industry, have shown that they can meet and exceed Severn Trent’s exacting standards. They have shown innovation along the way whilst maintaining programme and a quality product.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In the month following this visit several additional orders have been placed and with two rigs now delivered & installed, five more tested & ready to ship and orders for a further fourteen dosing rigs the framework has developed into real success story for Colloide who look forward to working with Severn Trent Water and all of the Tier 1’s into the future.
