Colloide Promotes Health with Cancer Focus
Recently, Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, health promotion vehicle visited Colloide.
This service, ‘Keeping Well’ is an incentive to all local workplaces and communities. The service is intended to help local people lower their cancer risk and increase awareness of cancer symptoms.
This programme enables all members of staff to undergo health checks and receive advice with regards to healthy living. This is part of an annual health awareness programme provided at Colloide with the intention of better life choices in and out of the workplace.
The health checks included within this service include:
- Body composition (% of fat, water and muscle in your body)
- Waist measurement
- Blood sugar level
- Blood pressure
- Lifestyle advice
- Skin scanning
- Stop smoking support
- Signs and symptoms of various cancers
- Information on screening programmes
This facility can empower people to take control of their own health and take steps to lower any risk of diseases and cancers.
